Securing the Border
Scott Bowen proudly supports the decisive actions taken by President Donald Trump, Governor Greg Abbott, and Land Commissioner Dawn Buckingham to secure our border and protect our communities. He supports mandatory E-Verify to prevent illegal immigrants from taking American jobs, which would end the economic magnet drawing them into our country.
In that same vein, Scott supports ending in-state tuition for illegal immigrants at Texas universities. He will also focus on removing uninsured illegal drivers from our roads, and stopping dangerous developments like Colony Ridge that allow illegals to purchase homes in the Houston area – when they shouldn’t even be here in the first place.
Cutting Property Taxes
Texans are being taxed out of their homes. Scott supports an all-of-the-above strategy to use state surpluses to support our schools and buy down local property taxes with relief for homeowners being the top priority. Appraisal growth should be capped – homeowners should not be forced to fight the appraisal district every single year.
Over time, we must drive school M&O property rates down to zero, which would slash our property tax bills in half. Our property tax system punishes hard work and homeownership—it’s time for real, permanent relief.
Punishing Crime and Protecting the Public
Crime is out of control in Harris County because left-wing judges and a radical district attorney are letting violent criminals back onto our streets. Scott supports Governor Abbott’s bail reform plan and will fight for judicial and prosecutorial accountability.
Texans deserve a justice system that prioritizes real justice for victims and real consequences for criminals.
Building a Family-Friendly Texas
Texas should be a place where young families can thrive. Scott will fight for low taxes, and pro-growth policies that encourage single-family home ownership.
In our coastal community, homeowners are being crushed by insurance rates, and one of Scott’s top priorities will be fighting these rate increases.
He believes in job-creating freedom, not government red tape, and will work to make our district, and our state, the best place to raise a family.
Strengthening Public Education
As a former school board member, Scott has been on the front lines fighting for parents’ rights and traditional values in education. He’ll work to end the failed STAAR testing regime, stop Austin’s Robin Hood funding-redistribution scheme that robs our local schools, and ensure Western Civilization, civics, and patriotism are instilled in our youth. He’ll also fight to keep pornography and woke ideology out of the classroom.
Defending Innocent Life
Scott Bowen is 100% pro-life, no apologies. He supports Texas’ ban on abortion and believes every child is a gift from God. But defending life means more than just laws — it means creating a culture of life. Scott supports funding for crisis pregnancy centers, adoption services, and programs that empower mothers and families to choose life.
